1 Foreigners who hold a post, work or study in China
Application materials for foreigners who hold a post, work or study in China:
a. Submit effective passport and a copy (photo page, the page showing the certificate’s validity period, examined and sealed page of the latest entry and the visa page for this entry);
b. Chinese official letter issued by the receiving units (brief introduction of units, the relationship with applicants, purpose to visit China, time of staying in China) and its organization code certificate;
c. Submit original certificates and copies
(i) foreigners who hold a post and work in enterprises shall submit Employment Permit for Foreigners or Foreign Expert Permit and authorized certificate of enterprises and copy of business license;
(ii) foreigners who hold a post in resident office of overseas enterprises shall submit Register Certificate for Resident Office of Overseas Enterprise, Work Permit for Resident Office of Overseas Enterprise and Employment Permit for Foreigners or Foreign Expert Permit;
(iii) foreigners who teach in education units shall submit Qualification Certificate for Employing Foreign Teachers and Foreign Expert Permit;
(iv) foreigners who study in education units shall submit Letter of Admission, JW201 Form and JW202 Form;
(v) foreigners who undertake art performances shall submit accepted files permitted by Ministry of Culture, Hall of Culture or Bureau of Culture in provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities;
d. A face to face interview shall be taken with the applicants who apply for accommodation permit for the first time. Applicants who apply for over 1 year’s (including 1 year) accommodation permit shall submit Health Certificate issued by Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau (excluding those below 18 years old);
e. Recent half-length, bareheaded, full-faced 2-inch color photo (snapshot, copied photos and those printed by color printers are unavailable);
f. Certificate of Temporary Accommodation. According to Chinese law, if foreigners accommodate in China, they should apply for and fill in Registration Form of Temporary Accommodation within 24 hours of arrival;
g. Fill in Visa and Residence Permit Application Form. Submit application before 7 days of expiry date of visa.

2 Notice to F Visa Application for Foreigners

1 Foreigners who come to China for visit, investigation, lecture delivery, business, scientific, technological and cultural exchange and short-term studies, internship and other activities upon invitation can apply for F visa
2 High-level talents and investors
Application Materials for foreigners who come to China for business, exchange and negotiation:
a. Submit effective passport and a copy (photo page, the page showing the certificate’s validity period, examined and sealed page of the latest entry and the visa page for this entry);
b. Chinese official letter issued by the receiving units (brief introduction of units, the relationship with applicants, purpose to visit China, time of staying in China);
c. Recent half-length, bareheaded, full-faced 2-inch color photo (snapshot, copied photos and those printed by color printer are unavailable);
d. Certificate of Temporary Accommodation. According to Chinese law, if foreigners will accommodate in China, they should apply for and fill in Registration Form of Temporary Accommodation within 24 hours of arrival;
e. Fill in Visa and Residence Permit Application Form. Submit application before 7 days of expiry date of visa.

3 Illegal actions of exit and entry
Illegal actions of exit and entry refer to those that disobey Chinese law and regulations and harm interests of our country or other citizens in the exit and entry. Such actions should be punished or resume legal responsibility.
According to the seriousness of the actions and the harm to society, we divided these actions into general legal violations and criminals that are also called administrative violations and criminal offences.
Main illegal actions are as following:
a. forge and alter or transfer passport and certificate;
b. hold forged and altered passport and certificate or use other’s passport under a false name and obtain passport and certificate by other deceptions for exit and entry;
c. engage in swindle and bluff by means of passport and certificate;
d. exit and enter from forbidden places due to lacking of passport and certificates;
e. organize and send others cross the border illegally for making profits;
f. resort to deception or submit false certificates and obtain passports and certificates by bribery.
